I grew up in Jackson, MS but later moved to Madison county in my junior year of high school. I attended Jackson Academy initially but graduated from Madison Central High School in 1993. Then, I went to Mississippi State University and graduated with my Microbiology degree in 2001.
During my high school and college years, I often worked at my dad’s hunting store- Haseloff’s, and then some for my grandfather, Alonzo Welch, landscaping some of his properties. My grandfather, Alonzo, was a preacher that founded Sunnybrook Childrens’ Home in Ridgeland, MS and also helped start Sunnybrook Estates Nursing Home in Madison, MS.
After graduating from college, I worked in Denver, CO several years as a sales associate for 4Wheel Parts. I then moved back to Mississippi and started my career as an outside sales representative for Republic Services, later transitioning to an operations supervisor and operations manager which I spent eighteen years with the company.
In 2021, I decided that I needed a change from the corporate world which is what initially led me to real estate. One of the things that I like best about real estate is helping a person or family find their dream home or land which they can create memories on for years to come. I like being able to handle any of my clients’ needs in real estate from homes, land, and commercial property with Hopper Properties.
When not working, I spend time outdoors, eating good southern food, and most importantly time with my wife and kids. Also, really enjoy the Colorado mountains and beach trips. Other activities include hunting, fishing, golf, and working on jeeps in my spare time.
